Smith & Wesson Model 686 Cylinder Yoke Extractor Ass'y Early Snub Models ONLY

Up for sale is a Very Nice Overall Condition f. Smith & Wesson 686 Cylinder + Yoke + Extractor Complete Assembly, that originated from a well cared-for S&W Model 686 No Dash "Snub-Nosed".

357 Magnum Revolver, with a 2.5 Barrel. This Assembly (because of the "Squared" slot on the Yoke Stud) will be compatible with the following 686 Models ONLY. PLEASE NOTE: If you have a 686-3 or 686-4, the Cylinder itself would be interchangeable but you will need to USE YOUR OLD YOKE!! The Yoke stud on the newer models 686-3 and beyond used the "Beveled" Slot on the Yoke Stud, not the Squared slot as the old ones did like the one we're listing here.

If you have any questions about this application, just send us a message and we'll be happy to explain further if you need a little extra clarification. ALSO NOTE: If you have a 686-5 or LATER model, we do NOT recommend use of these parts as there were multiple engineering changes to those later models and we cannot speak to these parts being compatible.

The chambers are bright and shiny and there is no evidence whatsoever of any corrosion existing on any of the components of this assembly. The Cylinder spins freely and the Ejector Rod and Center Pin both function as they should and the Springs are strong. If it were installed on the Longer-Barreled, 3" (686 CS1) , 4", 6" or 8 3/8" Barreled 686 revolvers, the Extractor Rod would NOT be long enough to snap into the Locking Lug on the bottom of the Barrel! ALSO NOTE This is an "L - Frame" Cylinder, so it is NOT compatible as a replacement on the K-Frame Model 66's. As with any vintage gun parts there are minor imperfections and we have attempted to capture a fair rendition of the condition of the Assembly in the image set. See photos for full description. The Assembly you see is exactly the Assembly you will receive. Several of the photos in this listing are a collage of two images of the same item taken from different perspectives - we simply had more images to share than the site's maximum dozen allows for, so to confirm, this listing is for one Cylinder Assembly, not two. As all sales on gun parts are final. Certainly a once in a not-so-often opportunity to grab elusive parts for the Vintage Smith & Wesson revolvers. What you see is what you receive - no more, no less, unless stated specifically in the listing. Sales to 48 Continental United States only. All sales are final, unless specifically stated otherwise in the listing. All firearms parts should be inspected and installed by a competent gunsmith.
